Ben
Hello family, Things have been happening here in Colum bus OH. W e just celebrated our 4yr. Anniversary yesterday!!!! I can't believe that we have been married that long. It goes by so fast, but we know it has been that long because of all of the things that I happened since that beautiful day at the Houston Temple. One of those sm all things is...we are officially season ticket holders for the buckeyes this coming season! So, if anyone wants to experience a real football game and enjoy a fun weekend with family in OH you are welcome to come. Consider yourselves invited.(lots of Church history sites within a 2-4 hour drive...and D.C.) I jus t saw the list sent out about who is going to the Nash reunion this summer; we are royally bummed there were "no's" by our names. W e are bummed, but couldn't be more grateful that the Lord was able to tim e our little one coming during our couple weeks off school in June. We are so excited for this addition to be here. It is a lot less stressful the second time because we have been through this all before. Thank goodness for learning...Speaking of learning...my life is pretty boring with paying a lot of money to do this learning thing so I will get on to more exciting features of the Bassett life. Kacey is out Garage Sale'ing right now. She is the Garage Sale Queen. They have this website here that will P 7 May 10,2008 The Bassett Bark show you all of the garage sales within the area, and plan out the shortest route between all of them and how to get home. It is pretty crazy. I get phone calls in the middle of classes for permission on buying things and getting ideas of gifts to give, etc. It is an exciting thing for us. Kacey had her first wedding photography event this past weekend since being here. She has done family and baby shoots, but no weddings, so it was a lot of fun to see her in her top form last week. She did a great job, and the custom ers were really impressed. She is now editing the pictures this week and enjoying it. She also continues to go to aerobics MWF, and running around chasing Kyree. Kacey also planned out a wonderful anniversary yesterday including Breakfast in Bed and Salmon filets for dinner, a movie to see, ice cream to eat, and time with Kyree. W hat a Woman. Kyree is now attending dance classes taught by a mom in our apartment complex for some of the girls in our ward. Yesterday we were killing a couple of minutes before a movie by going to a shoe store right next door. While we were there she was "plee-a'ing" in front of the shoe mirror about 30 times and saying "plee-a","plee-a" over and over again while when was doing it. It was way cute. Kyree is also singing her ABC's! One day we were washing her hands (we usually sing the song so she knows how long to wash her hands) and asked her to sing the song, and she knew it! It was incredible; it was so fun to have her know this song. It seems to be a very big step in the ability for her to communicate with us more and more. Another fun thing with Kyree was one Saturday Kacey had a baby shower to go to and so I was watching Kyree. Studying doesn't ever go too well at home so we were just playing around. Some associates from school invited me to go golf 9 holes and I looked at Kyree and thought, "this could be a really good experience or the worst...why not?" I just grabbed a bunch of princess stuff my clubs and we headed out the door. It was so much fun. She set up a little Princess Castle in the golf cart and had some snacks for them all. Then she would come out with me on the Green and squat down and give me tips like, " dust het it in da ole Dad!" or give me encouragement when I would get ready to hit the ball. I would do a couple of practice swings and after every practice swing she would say, "Almost dad" "oh so close" "you'll get it next time dad." It was so cute. It really helped me to relax no matter how bad I was playing. Now whenever we drive by a golf course she yells out that she wants to go golfing with me. So it will probably be a while, but we're hoping to get out soon. We sure do love y'all and hope all goes well in a lot of the big transitions in the near future. Ben, Kacey, Kyree, baby
